Dionaea muscipula (Soland. ex Ellis)
'Petite Dragon' x 'Jaws'

In 2002, I crossed a 'Petite Dragon' with pollen from a 'Jaws' (D'Amato). At this point, all of the several hundred offspring generally have nice red coloration and generally appear a bit more red than my typical plants, but all appear to be within the normal range of a "typical" VFT. None are dentate like 'Jaws'. So far, none look like the parent 'Petite Dragon'. Even the stigma on the flower is not red. I need to watch more of these plants as the summer progresses. The above photos were taken on 8 July 04; the flower photo on 30 May 05.
