Utricularia macrorhiza (Le Conte)

Below is Utricularia macrorhiza found free-floating in small ponds near Bull Swamp, elevation 5850 feet, in southern Oregon. The photos were taken on 3 September 2004. At this date, the plants were forming winter turions.

The photos below were taken on 10 September 2003. At this date, many of the U. macrorhiza had already formed winter turions and had sunk to the bottom of the pond.
